Well, you've hit the nail on the head once again, my friend. The GOP continues to find ways to compound their power. Look at the voter suppression laws they are putting in place at the state level. And the union-busting - they're now focused on the state level to break down the voting base of the Dems. Combine that with Citizens United and their current efforts to cling to the power they have nationally, and they could still pull off the next election if citizens fail to act. Keep fighting the good fight, and let's hope we're seeing the Rethugs implode!

It's a class war and we think that can't happen in an "egalitarian" society but the economics are undeniable. The "American Dream" of doing better than your parents and moving up the economic ladder based on your own hard work and effort is all but gone. I've watched my children struggle in non-union jobs to have things as basic as adequate health care and enough money to pay the rent. We have $900 billion to bail out Wall Street and we have $800 billion to give tax cuts to everyone including the very rich. We have $80 billion a year for wars. It angers me that across the nation our states collectively face a $130 billion dollar deficit and we can't help ourselves. Under the guise of "rebuilding" our economy, we continue to protect the rich while increasing the burden on ourselves and our childern.

"The right to bear arms to form a militia" is a little different from "the right to carry and conceal a 30 round auto-loading pistol in public."

Since I am Nanook the outdoorsman, I carry a .44 magnum pistol when hiking. I need only four rounds. Three to try to scare off a big brown bear if it were to charge. The fourth is to put me out of my misery when the bear begins to chew on my leg.
