Health care reform is clawing its way out of the grave once again. Thinking men and women across the country realize that even as misunderstood and demonized as the Senate bill has become, it is still vastly superior to the alternative.

Now there is a new report that health care spending has set a new record, gobbling up 17.3% of the economy.

How long can the Republicans throw the hopes and aspirations of the citizens of the United States under a bus for short term political gain?

How long can perfectionists on the left object to getting health care reform on the books before we relegate our people to another 15-20 years of insurance company abuses?

How long are WE going to allow the narrative to be about death panels, government takeovers and socialist plots?

Health care reform is about lives.

Reform will save lives.

Reform will improve the quality of lives.

Reform will be what future generations of politicians promise to protect for the good of the American people (yeah that includes the Republicans who denigrate the idea now).

Pass the damn bill!

Call, fax, tweet, email, send smoke signals, write blog posts, meditate… but get the word out, move the narrative, change the conversation and let’s get this done.

One Response to “Back from the grave…”

  1. I agree, fools stand in the way of change that is good & has come to America; self-promoting liberals have made a mistake pushing for perfection when perfection is never going to come with out evolution. Together misguided republican poor & middle class, combined with ignorant tea party members, have helped to ruin healthcare for all. It is time to change & it is time we change. Pass the damn bill by any means necessary.
